Pioneer Park features a picnic area and handicap accessible playground equipment.  There is also a gazebo and seasonal outdoor ice rink and warming house. You can find a beautiful amphitheater built by the Works Progress Administration in 1937. It is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Price:
$50.00 per shelter
$25 alcohol permit 


Hours:
9:00 am – 9:00 pm

Reservation must be made 24 hours in advance for guaranteed space. All shelter rentals  are non-refundable. Alcohol permits are available for all shelters.  Special events such as weddings, runs, and walks will need further approval by VCPR.

Amphitheater

Frequently used in the summertime, you can catch Music in the Park or Church in the Park in the warm months! See our social media for dates.

Pack your favorite snacks and head to the gazebo for breakfast, lunch, or dinner picnic!

Warming House

Open on special occasions, the warming house at Pioneer Park is a staple to the Valley City community with Charlie Brown inspired murals on the interior walls!
